Instagram offers various stickers that you can use to know your subscribers, allow them to be part of your process and get them to click on the link in your profile. All stickers can be used for a different reason, but if you know how to use them, what to ask, etc., they can give great results.
And here is the best part: it's easy. Whether you are recording a story or taking a photo, adding the thumbnail takes only one second. Let's talk about the type of stickers available to you and how you can use them to get the best results.
To use a sticker, you must first take a picture or record a story. Once done, you go to the top right of the sticker option (it's the square with the smiling face). There, all the options of stickers are at your disposal.
Sticker of questions
(The first picture is a question sticker, the second picture is the person answering the question.)
How it works:
The first part of the sticker is a title that says "Ask me a question". You can keep this question, but you can edit it if you wish. You tap on it, then you write what you want. People who watch your story can respond by clicking on the sticker.
Why should you use it:
If you stick to the default question, this is the place where your followers can ask you what they want. It's a chance for them to know you, what you're working on, etc. The goal is to engage with your subscribers and you will achieve this goal. You can also do it for "having a conversation". You can ask, "How are you today?", "What is your biggest goal this week?", Etc. You give them the chance to talk to you!
Poll sticker
How it works:
A survey sticker allows you to ask a question that gives viewers of your story a chance to vote between two options. At the top of the poll bar, you click on the text "Ask the question" and type what you want. By default, the poll options are "Yes" and "No", but they can also be changed if you tap it.
Why should you use it:
The poll sticker is the one you want to use if you really want to let your subscribers track your process. You can ask questions such as "Which cup should be published next?", "Which design do you prefer?" Or "Do you like this idea?" Your subscribers have the impression that they have helped you make a choice, which allows them to feel good.
Cursor sticker
How it works:
In the "Ask a Question" section, you type in your question and your subscribers can choose the degree of anger, excitement – or the emotion you are trying to escape – by dragging the emoji on the bar. The eyes of the heart, emoji, turn on by default, but you can change it to emoji of your choice.
Why should you use it:
The slider sticker is an excellent sticker to use to understand your subscribers' reaction to something. Here, you can ask, "How excited are you with this launch?", "How much did you like this last blog post?" Or "Did this new product meet your expectations? ". You will discover exactly what you customer / disciple was feeling.
How to display the results for these three stickers:
You can access the data of your stories, in the stories themselves. In the lower left corner you can see the people who viewed your story. You click on these circles and you access all available data. When you click on the section of the eye, you see the questions you answered, the results of the cursor and the results of the survey. If you want to know how to share an answer for the "Questions" sticker in your story, we go further in this article.
Music Sticker
How it works:
The music sticker lets you play the music behind your 15-second story. You must choose the song. Once you click on the music sticker, you are taken to a screen where you can choose songs. They are separated by three sections: popular, mood and genres. You can also search for a song. Once you have found what you want, click on it and you will be redirected to another screen in which you will choose 15 seconds of the song you wish to play behind the story by dragging the bar. Instagram selects the default chorus. You click "Done", then you can tap the sticker to change its display. (Look at the pictures above for the steps.)
Why should you use it:
The music arouses emotions. Although music does not necessarily allow your fan to engage with you, everyone loves music. This can turn your story into something completely different if you add it. Just think of movie scenes. A fight scene is not as exciting as when you add suspense music behind it.
Sticker countdown
How it works:
First, you came your countdown. Then you set a date and an end time by clicking on one of the squares of the number. You will have the opportunity to choose the date, but if you want to get a more precise time also. You did this by dragging the "All day" option. You can change the color on the top. Once you have added it to your story, the countdown begins. When a subscriber clicks on the sticker, he can share the countdown or receive a reminder on the last day of the countdown.
Why should you use it:
The countdown sticker is the newest, but it's great to launch a product or blog or count down before an event or party. This is exciting for your followers, but also encourages you to buy, for example, before it's too late. The reminder they receive if they click to do so can work wonders because they get it on the last day, giving them the excitement to relive or prompting them to buy quickly.
